On September 10, 2021, the Austrian, French, Italian and Swiss ASIS Chapters joined efforts to organize an event in Lugano, Feanza and Online.

|Chiara Sulmoni is an analyst, producer and journalist. She authored and/or assists in the production of in-depth reports and documentaries mainly concerned with the Arab and Islamic worlds, Afghanistan, conflicts and issues linked to (Islamist) radicalization. She is co-founder and President of START InSight (Strategic Analysts and Research Team) -a think tank based in Lugano and focusing on the Mediterranean, violent extremism, terrorism and European defence issues.|
André Duvillard, born on September 26, 1960, lives in Colombier, in the canton of Neuchâtel. He is married and has three daughters. He completed his law studies in 1987 at the University of Neuchâtel, and was then a delegate of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Iraq, Israel and Lebanon. From 1991 to 1997, he worked in the services of the Parliament as secretary of the Security Policy Committees (SPC). Between 1997 and 2012, he was deputy commander, then commander of the Neuchâtel cantonal police from 2005. In July 2012, he was appointed by the Confederation and the cantons as delegate of the National Security Network (NSN).
|Joseph Billy Jr , Former Assistant Director of the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division, where he had responsibility for all FBI counterterrorism operations worldwide, Joseph Billy Jr. also served as the Special Agent-in-Charge of the FBI’s Newark, New Jersey field office, and was Special Agent-in-Charge of the FBI New York Counterterrorism Division, where he led the nation’s largest Joint Terrorism Task Force consisting of 136 Federal, State and local law enforcement and intelligence agencies. In 1998, Billy served as an FBI on-scene commander and led a multi-agency response to the bombing of the American Embassy in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and in 1999 he was dispatched to Northern Ireland to provide oversight in a high-profile terrorism investigation.|
Luca Tenzi is a corporate security and resilience expert with 20 years’ experience in Fortune 100 and 500 companies and International Organization - leading security operations and defined strategies in diverse geopolitical environments. His corporate experience spans multiple business sectors including, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, information and communication technologies, financial services institutions all Fortune 100 and 500 companies and international organization such as UN specialized agencies. Luca Tenzi holds a MSc in Security form Leicester University, a post graduate program from Bocconi and undergraduate in Political Science from San Jose State University.
|Claudio Bertolotti (PhD)is Director and Head of Research at Swiss-Italian company START InSight. His academic and professional research focus on terrorism, radicalisation, Intellicence, security in Mediterranean area, conterinsurgency, small wars and asymmetric conflicts in the MENA area (i particular Afghanistan Syria and Libya). Since 2015, he is Senior Researcher at the Centre Euromaghrébin de Recherches et d’Etudes Stratégiques (CEMRES) in Tunis and Italian Representative within the ‘5+5 Defense Initiative’ international research working group.|
Umberto Saccone, President of IFI Advisory Umberto Saccone served in the Carabinieri and the Italian Intelligence Service SISMI for 33 years. In 2006,he was Director of Security at ENI an Italian multinational oil and gas company. In April 2017, he was appointed sole director of Port Authority Security for the ports in Civitavecchia, Fiumicino and Gaeta. He has written articles for different newspapers and specialised magazines and authored books including "La security aziendale nell'ordinamento italiano”, published by Il Sole 24 Ore in 2011, "Governare il rischio - Un sistema di Security Management", published by Aracne in November 2014, and "Protocollo S – Sequestro di persona",published by Aracne in 2019.
Franco Fantozzi served for more than 30 years in Law Enforcement (Carabinieri), coordinating and managing several complex investigations about serious organized crime and terrorism in Venezuela and Colombia, developing the information exchange as well as the cooperation at the Liaison Bureau at EUROPOL supporting the Law Enforcement Agencies of European Countries and establishing a very strong and reliable network.
In the private sector since 2011, Franco Fantozzi has served as corporate security manager for various multinational companies where he developed strong knowledge in risk assessment, crisis management and especial in supply chain security. He is currently advising companies mainly on travel risk management, physical security and data protection.
Godfried Hendriks MBA BSc CPP RSE (Amsterdam, Netherlands, 1963), is active in the field of security and crime prevention since 1989. He specialised in retail security, retail robbery prevention, retail fraud prevention, retail cash management solutions and public private partnerships. After managing a group of companies, he works as an independent security and management consultant, business & product development executive, trainer, (keynote) speaker and moderator since 2002.
He regularly publishes about the use of technology and innovative crime prevention in retail and public private partnerships. Godfried has presented on these topics and been a participant of expert panels on numerous occasions globally. He is a member of ASIS International since 1992, active as a volunteer leader since 2002, and has served as the 2020 President of the Global Board of Directors. In 2021, he chairs the Global Board of Directors Nominating Committee, tasked with selecting candidates for the new ASIS International Boards of Directors Europe and North America.
Frédéric Esposito is a political scientist and professor at the Global Studies Institute since 2013. He is the director of the Bachelor in International relations and Director of the University Observatory on Security. He is also a member of the Advisory Council on Security of the Republic and Canton of Geneva.
He hold a PhD in political science from the University of Geneva and a degree in international relations from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. He was successively lecturer at the European Institute of Florence; at the Faculty of Law at the University of Geneva and executive director of the University Forum "Democracy and Terrorism" of the Academic Society of Geneva. At the same time, he participated as executive manager in the European Commission's "Cities against Terrorism" program (DG Justice, Freedom and Security, pilot project for aid to victims of terrorist acts), developed within the European Forum for Urban Security.
Adrien Frossard is the Global Head of Travel Security & Intelligence for the AXA Group, leading a community of more than 60 Security Managers working on this topic.
Before joining AXA, Adrien worked as a security consultant within several risk consulting firms, such as Securitas, Gardaworld and Coverseas. In these roles, he was directly in charge of providing risk consulting services and managing teams of intelligence analysts.
Adrien holds a Master’s in International Relations and began his professional career as a researcher, notably working for the Institute for Defense Studies and Analyses (IDSA) in New Delhi, India.
Nicolas Le Saux, PhD, MBA is the CEO of Atao, a 500-strong security services and consulting company.
ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and 2019 Recipient of ASIS President Award. Prior to creating Atao in 2004, he spent 20 years in consulting and is a former Partner at Accenture. He lectures security and defense law at Paris Descartes and Panthéon-Assas Universities (France – Paris).
He is commissioned as a lieutenant-colonel in the French Army operational reserve.
