Blockchain, apart from the pure hype and geek side of cryptominers is absorbing more followers and adopters, while remaining mysterious and raising the interests of governments, private sector, public sector as well as regulatory authorities and more specifically central banks. The advent of new types of currency known as cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, or other forms of digital money represents new challenges in terms of governance, control, accountability for which the stakes are not well understood

The presenter is Paul Wang, MSc EPFL, MIT Sloan School of Management: Blockchain Technologies, CISA, CISSP, CISM, CRISC

The objective of this presentation is to attempt to explain how stakeholders, all of us, are able to benefit from this technology, understand the stakes, the benefits, the advantages as well as the risks. At the global economic macroscopic level, the question is encompassing how and why we will profit from blockchain and how organizations should position themselves on the global market. One of the paradigm changes relates to the win-win situation represented by the public private partnership while offering more assurance and transparency to customers and regulators. This session is also meant to be interactive in order for everyone to share his and her fruitful thoughts and concerns
